From Professor Jean Martinez's Lab. 2.Tyzeka in USA,Sebivo in Europe,(Telbivudine), CAS [3424-98-4], FDA-approved (October 2006), is an antiviral drug used in the treatment of hepatitis B infection. From Professors Jean-louis Imbach and Gilles Gosselin's Lab. 3.Obefazimod, CAS [1258453-75-6], Phase III completed, is an investigational new drug that is being evaluated for the treatment of ulcerative colitis. In Memory of Professor Zhou Xiuzhong 周秀中 (1924-2023)

 

 

Professor Zhou (1924-2023) has made many great contributions to organic chemistry and China's silicon industry. An absolutely outstanding teacher, mentor, advisor, friend, and above all, a genuinely great human being. He will be missed by all his students over a 70 yrs career! Shown above is a tiny, tiny piece of his early works to demonstrate his insight in Si-N bond stability.
